Quick Powell oil separator review

Iv had this thing on my car for is say 2 months now. Today I took all pipes off in preparation of my turbo upgrade tomorrow and to install new map sensor. And replacing my last remaining Hahn pipe with zzp, and here is what I found. Absolutely no oil or oil residue in any of the pipes what so ever. Not even on the turbo compressor intake like I usually had. Everything was clean and dry like new. My advice to all lnf owners. Contact Powell and get one now if u don't already. It is well worth the money.

What's the install like? Fairly easy and straightforward?

i didnt have any oil in my charge piping when i did my intercooler/lower pipe. i dont have the powell separator tho. little bit in the intake tho of course.

these cars are dry compared to vw engines.... sometimes when i take off a boost pipe youd swear i pulled the oil drain. lol

I bet your intake valves would argue otherwise.

This was the first thing I did when I got my car, highly recommended mod.

install is very easy. hardest part was probably changing the dipstick tube with new one, but that was also easy. u do have to tap that fitting out of the valve cover , the one for the hose that goes from turbo to valve cover. just use a little heat, attach a vice grip to it and tap the vice grip with a hammer and it comes out pretty easy. takes about half an hour to install.

O that thing does work lol. I'm running it on my lsjt . I had to rework the lines earlier back. My intake was dry. All the oil was separated and poured right back into the motor they the new dipstick he provided. I like it.

I used the stock line with my install. No tapping or fitting anything, it was all plug and play. That's the way I would go if he still allows it.

Guaranteed the valves will be carboned up. The oil isn't pooling but the vapours are there.

I'll be doing the valves at 50000kms

So does this powell part help with coking the valves up less? Or eliminate it completely?

Ive been eyeing this oil separator up for a while.

I borescoped through the brake port today and I could barely get close to the valves without the camera lens getting filled with ****...

Yea, a better PCV system is not a bad idea
