Raising the Bar!
With the EFR turbo off my SSTC for product development, I wanted to try out the S259 turbo I had at the shop. I bolted it up yesterday as a standard ZZP LNF turbo upgrade kit. All of the parts are off-the-shelf and available through ZZP with the exception of the larger turbo which we could substitute in as well as our MAF based fueler and the secondary set of injectors which we are getting ready to finalize and put together a kit. I started out with factory boost control, but it is difficult to get accurate, consistent boost control above 30psi boost, so I switched to our manual boost control regulator. This car is running on our 90% ethanol fuel that we ran in Ryan's LSJ. Tonight, I decided to do a few dyno pulls. Here was the best pull:

It appears that we are finally running out of in-tank pump. The fuel pressure was dropping towards the end of the pull despite the mechanical pump increasing speed. That is a sign that the feed pump just can't keep up anymore. Either way, I'm not complaining. This pull was 598whp uncorrected on 90% ethanol running the stock in-tank pump!

Well, see we tried setting the idle at 3750, but it didn't help me win any races. Every time I shifted into 5th gear, the car was going over 100mph by itself! I couldn't find too many people that wanted to go from a 120 roll. What really sucked was when my car wasn't running this one time when I tried to race someone. I had to start the car and then floor it, which wasted a lot of time. But even worse yet, this one time I got in a race with this kid in a Civic. I would have beat him, except I wasn't in my car. He got a huge jump on me while I was looking for my keys, then i had to run to my car, get in, start it, and then wait until it got up to 3750 RPM. He was WAY ahead by this time. It took me a while to catch up!

And the award for best fabricated short story goes toooo....
