Question Rear brake problem after changing pads

Had my rear pads changed today and now all of sudden my esc kicks in and bogs the car down along even even hitting the brakes and clues

Sounds like either the speed sensor for one of both of the wheels was either unplugged and never reconnected or it was damaged somehow when they did the brake job.

For the time being just turn the ecs off by holding the competetive mode button down for 10 seconds or so and you should be able to drive normally. Contact the shop that did the job and tell them to fix it pronto.

Could have just been a weird coincidence then. There's really no reason why they should have needed to unplug either sensor for a brake job to begin with but if that we actually the case then you would most likely still be having the same issue... or it's something else entirely. I'd be curious to see if there is a stored pending code though (yes you can have a stored pending code without throwing a dtc, or "cel" as most like to refer to it.)

This happened to me when the dealership changed my power steering motor under recall. I was driving down the highway and felt my car adjusting itself. I pulled over and called them, they came and towed my car away and drove me home. When I got my car back they said they don't know what that issue was. It hasn't happened since.

However when I had my SSC springs, my ECS light would come on all the time when I took a turn hard.

Perhaps you're going through what I went through, now that I am Pedder Springs I don't notice anything.

Also my service writer kept calling it my "stabilitrak" don't know what that says to you guys

Idk now it says service esc but the stabiltrak or whatever it's called is an auto breaking feature when you take turns hard from what I've been told

ive had the same problem twice. first time i went thru hell because the dealership was saying that the RPD was causing the problem and that is wasnt stock ha ha but i had it moved to another dealer and they fixed it. cant remember what all was replaced but i know one of the wheel hubs were replaced and second time it happened they pretty much put a whole new front end on my car. they said they had never seen anything like it.
