^ Not correct. It has been done by a few others (not me), but from what I've heard/read it is not the easiest thing to do.

Here are a few links I found for a friend a while back.

This is probably the best link; it includes a how to:

These are just some other links which may be of use:

Are you friggen stupid? Try not to cloud people with your misinformation.
It can be done, it's just ridiculously expensive. You also have to have a TC.

Better off going with dashhawk or something else. Less expensive

well I looked up the UAF thread and it's pretty simple. just basic splicing wires and connecting to the correct one. and I'm trading straight even my analog boost gauge for the RBD so I think I'm gonna go ahead and do it lol the only problem is Idk no how to hook my analog up to his car. I don't know what 4 wires come out of the analog go to to his car? so I'm researching. any ideas on that?

if you have an 08 you wont be able to change it from Metric units. 09 and up you are able to.

I have an 09 tc I've already made sure lol so I'm not worried about it or wiring. after writing it down it's actually easy. I just need help wiring the analog gauge the car with the rbd harness one :/

I've installed one for a friend. The wiring itself it pretty straightforward. Once you know what you're doing you could probably do it in 20 mins. You'll need wires from both the OBDII plug (just tap into them) for like the GMLAN and power, and a few from the analog gauge harness for the ignition and maybe ground if I remember right. (It's been a while now.)

RPD Conversion 09 SS/TC - YouTube

I'd recommend just tapping into them with splice in connectors and running wires. That way you could in theory continue to use an RPD, analog boost gauge, and OBDII connected something-or-other and it'll all still work.

It has been done in 08 models as well the only issue (if you find it an issue at all) is you can't switch from Imperial to metric.

Im at the dang dealership trying to get the rpd i bought off a guy (and wired thanks to these wiring gurus here...you guys are awesome) flashed. It wont come on. And GM is bein a buttmunch and wants some authorization code to flash it. BUT they wont even sell the rpd unless your car came with one. What is so dang special about this thing that GM is so paranoid that non rpd cobalts will get hold of them?! Geez
