Because of fuel yes, but airflow, the S20G can flow well over 400whp worth of air.

S20g will ultimately flow more air and make more peak horsepower. the gt2871 will spool up faster (its a ball bearing unit), and make a broad flat curve, but will be limited on peak hp. if you consider fueling and boost handicaps (good fueling to ~6500rpm and a 22.5psi boost cap), the 2871 will likely provide more area under the curve.

Gt28 is too small for this car imo. The gt30 is what i would go with.

The gt30 with spool just fine. The s20g is a very good turbo as well and cots less than the gt30.

Fuel is definately an issue we dont have enough injection time at above 6500 to support a bigger turbo.

If there was proper fueling , boost and rev capability, the gt2871 would inch up on the 400whp mark...

Trim is simply a formula of the inducer/exducer of the compressor or turbine wheel, its useless basically. All you need to know is the size of the inducer in millimeters. Im not sure if dejon is naming them by the size of the compressor wheel, but the first two numbers could be 54mm, 56mm, 58mm and 60mm inducers. The second 2 numbers might mean the size of the turbine wheel and the B means ball bearing.
The bigger the inducer the more hp its capable of making... and more lag.

There are people working on fueling issues and hopefully we won't have that problem anymore.
