Saturn Sky Redline

Hey guys,

I have been having a real hard time finding someone in my area that knows anything about the Gm 2.0 L turbo engine. I'm a member on a bunch of Saturn Sky sites but there seem to be limited people on them and I have not been able to find out anything I'm looking for. I spoke to a mechanic at a local GM dealership and he said try a cobalt site since the engines are pretty much the same.

Right now I have it tuned, Borla exhaust and air intake and I'm getting about 310 HP, dyno at 263 but I'm looking to get closer to 400 HP. I had a local performance shop look into it for me last year and he had a kit that he found in the US that would get me what I was looking for with a top end rebuild and a turbo upgrade but he went out of business over the winter.

Has anyone on this site done a cobalt engine or can point me in the right direction via a site or performance shop to get more info.

anything would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome
Pm Sskev out of Burlington, he is one of the better cobalt tuners. You will be surprised about what you can get with just a good tune.
Talk with john Powell(vendor powell motorsports) and see if any of his suspension stuff will work on or help your car. He is out of port Perry.
Zzp for performance parts.
Maybe go to one of the cobalt meets at Timmie's(427&dundas). There is a thread on here about it.

Powell doesn't make anything for the Solstice/Sky. I know because I've asked him multiple times .

To the OP, I own a turbo swapped Solstice GXP. You can make 400 hp on 93 with no headwork, all you need is a turbo swap and a few bolt ons. 400 is pretty easy to achieve. I am running ZZP's ZFR, which is a bolt on EFR 6758. It's probably the most simple bolt on solution. They only issue is I heard rumors ZZP has put a hold on selling them to Kappas unless we go there for installation because the turbos have to changed just slightly from the Cobalt application. I'm not sure if that's still true or not, but it doesn't hurt to message ZZP and ask. Performance Autowerks also has EFR turbo swap kits for the Solstice/Sky but I'm not sure if they are bolt on or a full kit. I had heard they were working on a bolt on solution, but idk if that ever panned out.

He just says near Toronto because at least that's a name people recognize.
