Scythe_Snake Visits ZZP...AGAIN!
Scythe_Snake Visits ZZP...AGAIN!
So in preparation for CED, last Wednesday (June 15th) I decided to drive up ZZ Performance to visit my buddies, at 4am in the morning. I decided to get some new toys while I was there.
My last setup had me at 430whp, 435 wtq @27 psi on the Borg Warner S252 extended tip. And this time I wanted to try something a bit different.
The ET S252 was an amazing turbo, but I decided I was looking for something that flowed a bit more air but didn't have a long spool time. So I upgraded to the S256 ET for the air flow and the not too big of a sacrifice on the spool time.
I also got a set of custom ground Comp Cams for the new setup with some gears. I already have valve springs so it was all ready!
And the last was fueling. I will let Matt_M or Ryan explain it, as I dunno if they are releasing what exactly they are doing yet. So I will keep it under wraps until they give the okay.
I was basically shooting for like....20-40 more whp as a goal....
So...the first pull, I was rather surprised to see the results:

485whp, 400wtq @ 25 lbs with a responsive spool!
So with a pull or two...we found out the switchable tune was causing issues. So....we went with a more basic setup with a manual boost controller....and by the end of the night:

541whp, 490wtq @ 29 psi!
I turned it down a lb or two to 26lbs, and is making 510 whp, 470 wtq which I am driving around on.
The car is responsive and fun! I think I'm done HP wise, and just going to work on other things. The car has a lot left in it! Matt and Ryan wanted to turn it up to 32-35 psi and see a 600whp number show up, just to see....but I asked them to stop and that I was fine with the results! Haha. They did an amazing job, some of the coolest people I know, and
Thank you all for reading! It should be an enjoyable summer! More to come in the upcoming week! The snobalt is getting a bit of a face lift so to speak with a few more parts before CED!
PS - I know this reads sort of funny. I posted this on other local forums and didn't feel like editing it too much, haha.

#1: I saw the title and flashed back to the first thread and prematurely ejaculated before I even clicked it.
#2: do you have a forged bottom end(I can't remember if that was already covered) to support that kinda power, or just in a "f*ck it" kind of mood? lol

Nice job, so are the cams ZZP's grind on comp cams and what are you running stage 1 or 2?
ZZP needs to hurry up and release that upgraded mechanical HPFP.
They've already mentioned some of the new fueling mods in the ZZP thread.

Thanks man!
Thanks man haha. No internals done but I RARELY beat on it, and treat the car good. But yeah, stock. Seals never broken.
Lol, thanks man. I made 430 on the 252 though......sooooo lol
I dunno if they have specifically said this one though. I will wait for them to chime in
Wanna know the funny part? I haven't even gotten on it yet lol
Yep!
It's surviving on stock right now
Those don't quite exist yet lol
Yeah no worries man. Just gotta run what you can and be safe with it ya know. Matt and Ryan were going to try to make 600 with a bit more boost, but we agreed that the car was more than fine
Thanks man! See ya at CED hopefully
Lol my thought exactly.

yeah 591 is good for me right now. the only reason i didn't hit more is cause the 80s go static in the upper rpms on a 3rd gear pull. thats on an unported head too. once i get some good passes at the track i'll go back up there for a ported head, 198s and dual pumps, and an auto trans. then see what it reaaaaaally does. that and my pump gas tune is only on 91 and no meth
I was teasing bro. Don't compare your car to other people's. Every car is different and everyone's goal for their cars are different ya know. Build your car for you. It's already an amazing machine and is quite fast already! Just keep going you bro!!
