through the brake booster line on the master cylinder. on the firewall right behind the fuse box, cant miss it. pull up to relieve the vacuum and then pull it off

DEFINITELY do it.

Mine started getting taken apart just today in fact for a dead cylinder (only 30# compression). He got the manifold off earlier, peeked in there (took a pic) and it's NASTY. I have 73,000 miles but you gotta do it. No fuel reaches the valves to clean them and I promise, they WILL get nasty.

But yeah, brake booster line.

oh yes ^^^^ exactly as stated above! since we are direct injected fuel misses the valves all together which causes carbon to just build up on the valves and it gets very dirty very fast! i would honestly recommend a fuel system clean every other oil change or 10-15k miles

no, no has had bad expiriences with it, its totally safe, ur friend doesnt know what he is talking about. and there is also a vac line that goes right into the manifold. its right on top, that one is easier to find, use that.

If you want an alternative to the product Seafoam, check out Amsoil Power Foam.

AMSOIL - Power Foam Engine Cleaner & Degreaser (APF)

Ive done every 5K miles since i bought the car new....... and everytime it smokes black like a bitch. It will smoke for a good 2 miles down the road so i know it's not just running threw the motor and not doing anything.

When my car was new I used it to lube the valves because the car would bog in the mid range with 1500 miles on it .....and make a completely different exhaust note. As soon as i used it the car ran so much better i know the valves were really tight and sticky. I use the little nipple that hooks to the vaccum tank that sticks up in the middle of the manifold..... take i small piece of rubber vacuum hose and suck it right out of the can .

I won't touch it for that reason and because I've read it doesn't really help that much.
I use Pennzoil Ultra which *may help* with minimizing the valve deposit problem. I also use Red Line Sll Fuel System treatment which is very high in PEA (same stuff in Techron, only more concentrated). Yeah...I know...the back of our intake valves don't *see* fuel, but the Red Line does keep combustion chamber clean as well as injectors.
As a footnote...I have read accounts of cars with DI Valve deposits that run perfectly fine!
Not sayn' it's not a problem, but I think it's overstated a bit.

You only need to seafoam your car every 40k+ miles.

im going to be pulling my balt out of storage in a couple months after sitting for 6 months
i left it with an empty tank and the battery disconnected and all that good stuff
anyone have any suggestions on anything i should do besides like an oil change right away?

NOTE: Not to be used with vehicles that have MAF sensors.

I love AMSoil products, but you still gotta be careful about what you use and how you use it.
