Soon to be installing Treadstone Stage 3 Kit

Hey guys, I have the Treadstone Stage 3 kit on the way to me right now and I will hopefully be able to start working on the install next week. Before I do this, are there any specific things you guys want me to look for with this kit or any certain parts of the install that you would like me to document?

I know there have been a lot of questions going around about this kit because I believe there is only one person that has it installed so far. So I'd like to clear up a lot of the questions with this thread.

So post up if there is anything you'd like pictures of, or information on, and I will do my best to answer everything.

Matt

I'm going to see if I can get on the dyno before I install it. I'll do a run with my current setup (K&N & Trifecta Tune) and then a run with the Stage 3 kit. That will give a good comparison and show the gains from just the bolt ons.

Yay for TR8! i am almost done with mine. Working nights sucks. Its hard to get motivated to go work on my car when my body wants to sleep. Are you getting the Treadstone Cold air or staying with the K&N?

Yeah, the TR12 is the bigger of the 2. The specs are on 08+ Cobalt SS 2.0 LNF Turbo, Front Mount Intercooler Kit- TREADSTONE PERFORMANCE

Correct. But they sell a block off for that flange if you don't want to run an aftermarket BOV.

Yeah, it's an awesome deal. Jason was offering 15% off just a little while ago as well. Not sure if that is still on going.

Dang boosted that thing is going to be quiet haha. The sound of mine is starting to grow on me.

Did you go with the BOV or did you plug the flange and keep the bpv?

I hope it's quiet. I want it to be as close to stock as possible. I don't like loud exhausts.

I got the BOV with mine.

Not sure yet. I am going to try and do a before and after dyno. Just the tune alone though can get you up to 50whp. With the addition of the intake, piping and exhaust, I wouldn't be surprised to see an additional 30whp opened up on top of that.

Time will tell though.
