I check my spark plugs yesterday and they are shot to hell after 15k miles. Are they any upgrades in plugs for our cars? I checked all the auto parts stores in my area and just like the brakes, they don't carry anything.

Can they be ordered online?

I will try and get pics but they are burnt, yellow, and the electrode thing in the center (not the grounding arm) is very thin. My car has a noticeable drop in performance and has misfired a few times.

 

Ask the dealer for new plugs.

 

I've had it with warranty work and would rather just replace them. SMH After the shifter and brakes, I think I'll be a certified mechanic after a year with this car.

I do have a set i could sell you that i bought and have not used. They are autolite xp iridium plugs

I believe its XP5364 or something along those lines. I work for AAP and I think that's the number we come up with for the LNF. Any numbers on the side of the plug? I can cross reference them at work.

 

mine pretty much looks like that as well. my oil leak was from the loud ticking pump behind the carboard cover. i forget the name of the pump right now and its pissing me off!!

And OP, your plugs look fine...iridium tips are really thin to begin with, hence 'iridium, fine wire plugs'

Running a lot of timing when tuned will eat em up.

Stock they shouldn't be wearing fast.

If you're stock I wouldn't worry about them and yes they look fine.

not sure, used to be able to look it up, gmpartsdirect.com has them for $5.20 each so I'd imagine a dealer would have them for around 7.50-8/ea

 

Op are you running Octane Booster? And like Steddy said , the electrode is supposed to look like that , all in all the plugs look fine . They have that orange tint due to Octane booster ( if you use it ) or the additive package in the fuel your using.
