SS/TC Caliper Piston Bushings?
SS/TC Caliper Piston Bushings?
Anyone have any idea where to find rear caliper piston bushings for the ss/tc? I wash changing the rear brakes and rotors since GM can't man up to not lubricating the caliper pins, and my pistol tool snapped and ripped the piston bushing. Anyways...anyone got a part number...preferably an autozone/advance number...I need my car ASAP. Cant wait for processing and shipping. Thanks in advance.
EDIT---Does the SS/TC share the same rear brake caliper as the solstice gxp?

No one responds back...oh nooos. The cheese stands alone.
Just in case anyone busts their rear caliper seals, the Pontiac Solstice GXP rear seals are compatible. They use the same sized caliper piston as we do. You can find them online anywhere between 5-10 bucks + shipping. The reason for me using a Solstice kit is that GM wants to charge 60 bucks for the CSS kit. And you can expect a 3-5 day wait. I ordered the Solstice kit with overnight, and got it for under 30. I received it 21 hours after I placed the order. Just a little FYI. I will be finishing my brake job today, and I'll post back if there are leaks from seals.

Doesn't the SAAB 93 from 03' share the same calipers as well?
I know the pads are the same, if so check this out

I think so. My biggest concern was making sure the caliper piston was 40mm. Im guessing that most 400 mm sets would work. Its just funny how GM doesnt have a part number (supposedly) for the Solstice repair set, but does for the CSS. Butttt...part stores online have a repair kit for the Solstice for 1/6th the price. Anyways just got brakes back on, and am about to bleed the entire system. Changing out fluid to synthetic.
