SS/TC intercooler piping?
^^^I agree. Ive seen no less than 3 already and none of them were at the drag strip or racetrack. If you keep your car stock and rarely drive it aggressively, maybe I can see the argument....but it was the first thing I wanted(considering the intake was not ready yet).
I have 12.7k miles on my car running from summer to winter (95F to -8F today) and mine hasn't broke. It seems like the % of failures is still in the single digits and happens early in the cars life.
Hoping not to burst anybodys bubble and not wanting to step on aftermarketeers toes, aftermarket parts break too. There's one thread here talking about an aftermarket, all aluminum, IC bursting at the welded seam. Granted. The affected party has been told by the manufacturer they will make it good. But **** DOES happen. OEM or aftermarket.
I am all for modding your car but it sort of has to make a difference for me to spend the money. Like I wanted a pipe with a bov for the sound but it would cost me like $700 US and all for what, to hear a pshhhh sound.
I'm personally gunna just get the hot side charge piping and the intake together, when i can afford the cold side I'll grab it up and get it done. Really tho, it's the hot side that is the problem.
lol ok sure but I drive about 2 hours a day in stop and go traffic, you will be dead before the first trip I swear and I say $700 and that would be Canadian with the piping, bov, shipping and converting into Canadian.
700.00 USD=874.442 CAD
50 shipping (guess)
210 BOV
50 shipping
50 custom fee's
= 710
Then convert
$881.67 then taxes
Alot of money for something just to go pshhhhhh
dood, i'll just say it now, we can goto a custom exhaust shop in Canada, just gotta find the right one, and they'll do GOOD charge piping for you completely custom for much less and no shipping lol. I'm currently in search of a shop locally to me for this cause USD to CND conversions are **** right now, i dont even wanna order an intake anymore at this rate
hmmm well you need to shop aroun if you think it cost that much. intercooler piping- $370 with BOV flange welded on. with shipping $400 plus $180 for BOV SHIPPED. That's less than $600. And you can get it cheaper than that if you get charge piping at a shop.
Less then 600 but then customs, currency conversion and people love to rape Canadians on shipping.
I got a set of 4 rims from the US and was charged $30 US for it and the actual price to ship was like $31 with USPS for all 4 rims. If I buy an intake off of any of the vendors here, they think it will cost $50 and they will only use ups which rapes Canadians for half the value of the item in brokerage fee's.
I can go to a custom ship but do they use the same material ex an exhaust or wouldn't they use something else? How big does the diameter have to be?

well my intercooler piping broke at the bracket which mounts the piping to the top of the motor and im just wondering if anyone else has had the same thing happen...i went to the dealership and they told me my warrenty doesnt cover it cuz its not a GM flaw...BS plastic isnt durable at all. So im really interested in finding out if this has happened to anyone else
