Stage 3 Exedy Clutch

Well, I was going to order a Clutchmaster Stage 3 Clutch but I decided to break down and buy a good Exedy Stage 3 Hyper Single Clutch Kit for my LNF. Says on their website it's compatible with both the LNF and the LSJ. Also says the holding pressure is 345 Ft/Lbs of torque and I've heard nothing but good things about Exedy clutches. Just wanting some opinions on what people think about this particular clutch and if it is indeed compatible with LNFs and LSJs. Didnt know if the end of the crank could be different for the flywheel to bolt up to because this kit comes with a flywheel, or if the transmission was engineered differently because I've read in the forums that some people said you couldnt put a stock LNF clutch in an LSJ. They didn't really get to the reasons.

HAHA Kia Sorento haha that made my day dude.

Ok my friend used an Exedy clutch in a SC balt. He loved it. Way better feel than stock and if you are running that much power its a god send. I'm not sure about the differences in the transmissions. It was nice... Until some girl in an explorer totalled the car for him.

Ah, cool. Thanks for the info. Prob gonna be in the 400 range in a year or two. So handling the power is good.

Yea I can't remember what he was pulling but his car made me want a balt. Even though I didn't like how it looked inside or out I still liked how the motor was and how it was suspened. I know he had a tune for the full intake and exhaust, and he was running a smaller pulley, I want to say he was at 250 hp at the ground but I don't remember. The clutch could handle alot more than that as I recall.

The issue is with the clutch mating up to the stock flywheel due to the alignment/anti rotation pins. I don't know what they're called exactly. They have to be removed from the flywheel or a different flywheel has to be installed. I think our stock clutch holds that much torque, btw.

I'm pretty sure that the exedy stage 3 is good to 350 lbs/tq or something. Is that how much the stock clutch is rated to? I want to go with something like the ZZP stage 5 or 4+. But thats when I get the full turbo kit and every performance bolt on I can... Saving money now haha... it's going to take me a while though.

I'm pretty sure the stock clutch is good to 350ft/lbs, but I'm sure someone one here knows for sure.

I have the exedy hyper single and love it man. The lightweight flywheel that it comes with is awesome too. Breaking it in is a bitch but after that its golden.

Oh n SSlobalt my stock clutch started slipping the day i got the car tuned lol so i dunno bout the 350

Is the exedy flywheel aluminum or steel? I like the clutch feel of my stock one right now but I know when I get enough money for te ZZP stuff, or whoever makes the best stuff in a year or two, I will need a new clutch. I'm not sure the exedy clutch/flywheel is up to the task.
