Stage kit Dyno?

So as we await the famous stage kit I was wondering what other LNF cars (hhr, sky, etc.) are dynoing with just the stage kit. I looked on the HHR forum but couldnt find anything. I know without an intake our stage kit only gives 275 crank, but i want to see what it would put down to the wheels with an intake.

The tune on the sky redline and gxp gives 290 hp crank... people who have dynoed are seeing 260ish to the wheels with tune only.

Other tuners are editing these gmpp tunes on the redline/gxp and getting more power out of it (not sure what kind of power).. If you want a lot of power the gm tune isn't going to give it.. but you keep your warranty so to speak

BartSS made 289 whp and about the same torque but he has full bolt ons and the stage tune on his HHR. They make about 260 whp tune only so 15-20 whp gain over stock.

But isnt the stage tune worthless to pay all that extra for your warranty if your putting other bolt ons on? like dp, intakes, fmic, etc?

That owuld void it right so why not save the money and get a diff tune anyway?

Exhaust a bigger front mount and charge pipes won't void you warranty. At least that's what my dealer told me

Ya those mods shouldn't void your warrenty. So when you dyno'd what mods did you have?

exhaust - catback won't void your warranty... but on a turbo car... downpipe most likely will.

no?

The rwd solstice makes a bit less due to more drivetrain loss, so i wouldn't use it as a comparison.

As for warranty, the dealer can say one thing but if there's an expensive failure the gm rep will have the last word... and most likely not in your favor if the car is modded.
