sticking gear lever

When the temp drops below freezing my gear lever sticks until it's warm. I mean nearly impossible to move. Even side to side let alone into a gear.

Any ideas what part of it is sticking and what to do about it?

If it's an aftermarket clutch it might be dragging a bit, I know mine did until properly bled of air.
