I prefer trifecta, it's safer than what most HPT guys do. If safer is a derogatory word to HPT fans, then replace is with more conservative. I'm not saying HPT is unsafe, I personally know Cobalt SS/TC guys with HPT and will gamble their mothers on its reliability (not really, but you get the idea).
All I'm saying is that trust your tuner, if you trust Vince, go Trifecta, if you trust your HPT guy then go HPT.
I for sure wouldn't trust a local race shop unless it's ZZP or something that specializes in Cobalts.

Lol reliability depends all on tuner. Lol. Ive not blown one car up at all.... And ive tuned. Oh i dont know 2 sd cards with 2gb on each. Along with a solid state 160gb not full but still going. And i also have other sd.cards.and.ect and.some hard.drives.for different cars like honda and ect.that use a.piggy back and ect

I'm kidding, but I don't know if you remember, you almost sold me one of your tunes. I would have gone with you, but I didn't have an HPT to use and didn't know you would send one of yours.
I trust Vince, he's been a good tuner for me. I'm sure your customers would say the same. Like I said previously, trust your tuner. Vince, Chevycobaltss3, BYT or who ever it may be, if you have someone you trust stick with them. If you're new and want more conservative, I'd recommend Vince. If you want conservative and may want more power later, speak to a HPT guy. If you just want flat out power maybe HPT is the route for you. This is pretty much how I see it.
I was wondering about the Trifecta tune... If the tune only engages when activated (tc button or cruise button) would the car be running lean when the tune is disabled? -given there are aftermarket mods, dp, intake, exhaust, ect..-
This is pretty good news for me, i was hoping to hit at least 300WHP and still be reliable, i have alot more stuff to order and put on but I'm getting there. Ill probably go with the Trifecta tune because i have never tuned and don't know of a good local tuner. I'm about a hour south of Pittsburgh PA if anyone can recommend me to anywhere within a few hours that's good for tuning, that would be Awesome. Thanks guys
I've never understood why people compare Trifecta to HPtuners ..... you can have a **** HPtune from the local V8 tuner in your area .......or a great HP tune from a person who knows the LNF ....there are too many variables in an HPtune to compare it to Trifecta.
that's horrible...... Stock with 200km's on the car I did 250whp,249ftlb-tq on my second pull

To compare TF to HPT is like (hate to use it) Apples to Oragnes, both fruits, but different in so many ways.
comparing trifecta to hptuners is truly the best way since there both tuning sources.for.the balt.... i mean i can compare my tune to some one elses tune power wise but it doesnt make the tuner better. what you want to look at is the power curve and ect and linear boost and ect

We can compare Cobb to Trifecta because of the power curve etc.
I can compare a car to a boat or a plane because they all move forward and people ride in them.
I can compare a cheetah to a Cobalt, they both start with the letter C and can do a 0-60. Both machines in their own way.
I can compare a beautiful girl to a Veyron. Both curvy and sexy.
My point is, there has to be a limit. Like apples and oranges, they're both fruit, both get eaten, both are peal-able, both have seeds etc. But they're different in so many ways; Ones red, others orange, one breaks apart, one has a core, one has a stem, crunch factor etc.
Just for argumentative sake. Take it how you want
hey matt i dont laugh i sit there at this forum shaking my head. hahahahah ;-). but you cant compare hondata to hptuners. because hondata wont tune a balt. the software needs to be able to tune the same car. to be technicall... you can compare efi live to hptuners or trifecta. and you can compare emanage / ems/ to mega squirt. your ability to make a argument is truly false when it comes to this bro... if hptuners and trifecta were fruit. trifecta would be a fig and hptuners would be a mango. both good but figs are the shitty part of the fruit word.. theres plenty of reasons why tuners dont like trifecta. reasons not to be said because all you hardcore trifecta fans would get upset and push your car off a.cliff cuz you are now scared you may be buying a engine soon (inside joke).. i mean if you want proof id be glad to.send.my tuner to u and.show.you how.disgusted you prob would be if you compared trifecta.to hptuners. if u want proof ask iboost. rason mason. dblock. just for starters...
x34532453. You can't say Hp tuners is better than Trifecta because it isn't. At this point it is the tuner that matters, not the software. Same reason why I HAD to go with Trifecta and I am very happy. All these damn tuners in LA are for corvette people. Non of them have experience with the LNF.
