Actually, 4th gear is closer to 1:1, but the general consensus is to dyno in 3rd gear. The reason being is though 3rd gear is slightly farther from 1:1 than 4th, the difference is minimal, and it puts a lot less stress on the clutch if you dyno in 3rd as opposed to 4th.

1.00 - .89 = difference of .11 (4th) <-------
1.18 - 1.00 = difference of .18 (3rd)

Thats the advantage of the 4.45 trans. Much Less stress on the gears due to the mechanical advantage it offers

Is all the mph the same.. IE: 1st gear goes to 35 mph 2nd goes to 67 3rd gotes to 100 is that all still the same? What has been done to the tranny besides some final drive ratio. I'm a newb when it comes to tranny info..

Every thing is 600 rpms higher so you go through the gears faster. The trans is put together with tighter clearances , Gears are profiled on the contact edge for better durability, shift mechanism is reworked for smoother shifts, input shaft is polished and I supplied my own Cryoed 4.45 gear set. Got over 500 miles on it now.
