Strut tower brace

I was just wondering why a strut bar hasn't been made or released yet for the SS/TC. I know that the charge piping gets in the way, but was wondering if anyone had ideas for one or inside info on how to make one??

Our strut towers are too close to the main body of the car to create much flex. Not really worth it IMHO.

A lot of SS/SC's have them and say they help..... The turbo and charge pipe on our cars kinda makes it hard to get across.

they honestly dont do all that much. but yes it seems no matter what charge piping you run it would be in the way of the strut tower brace,

Strut braces dont do anything on a cobalt, because the struts are attached to the firewall. and the CP is in the way on the TC so there is no point

Performance wise they are a waste.

They do nothing.

Get polished charge piping?

Polish the valve cover?

Don't add useless weight?

SS/TC's are built pretty well. Not really a need.

Here's an interesting fact: In BMW's, the 4door sedan is actually preferred by many racers due to it having more torsional rigidity.

It'd be interesting to see if the same holds true for our cars.

order a set of frame connectors from u race cars.....that would have more use then a strut brace. the only reason i would want it is for something else to have and thats about it.

We are talking about the body flexing here kyle... and believe me all Cobalts chasis felx alot compared to a car such as a corvette or somethign along those lines...

There is a company that makes subframe connectors that look like they might help a little, but anything other then a full out cage wont make much of a difference

http://uracecars.com/Tuner_Cars.asp thats the website, but not much info
