Surge or Normal

I'm pretty sure my eibach sportlines are giving me surge, would you agree

Anyway I just installed Eibach Sportline, ZZP Intake Tube and Dejon BPV Upgrade spring and I love them all.

My Eibachs look great and the ride isn't bad at all, my fiance didn't even notice a change in ride quality, the Intake tube makes my turbo sound great and the BPV spring makes it seem like I have a BOV for sure. It's soooo nice, but all isn't good unfortunately...

I noticed that when I shift at around 3000 rpms it sounds like the video below, but only for a split second, it's almost like it's bypassing surge. But when I WOT or shift under 3000 rps or over 4k rpms it doesn't make that sound. If I WOT or accelerate kind of hard and shift at 3000 rpms it doesn't make that noise, only when I am barely at 5 psi. When I WOT it sounds like a bad ass BOV. It's weird because it's literally like a second long, just like four wowowow's ****Edit**** My fiance had a good point, it's also not nearly as loud as the video either. We can barely hear it inside the car and there's no hearing it outside either. Is it something I should be worried about or can I drive on it and not worry

Any idea what it could be? I'd like to say the Intake tube but I thought it wouldn't effect anything other than HP. I don't wanna think it's the BPV spring because it's stopping boost leak so why would it surge? Is it because I'm running a canned tune?

Anyway thanks for your input

Mine sounded like that but mine was for. Not being tuned for a intake. But my guess is the spring upgrade

Y would the spring do that? Shouldn't it keep it closed more so I don't leak boost? Why is it bad to keep in as well

The fact that it doesn't release boost through the BPV as early as the stock spring is what makes it bad. It holds all that air back longer and it it doesn't release it just pushes back into the turbo. (Sorry I don't feel like being real technical this morning haha)

Just take it out and your problem will go away. I know this from experience

I had the same issue with both the stock and forge bpv that is similar to the video with my AEM intake on with the surge and flutter. I'm thinking it was my stock dp playing part of it, but later I took that off and threw my catless back on. So, I'll monitor it tomorrow morning and give you an update on that. I'm running the yellow spring right now which hasn't cause any issues, yet...

UPDATE: It was 35 degrees this morning to do a cold start up with the Forge BPV with the yellow spring on. Guess what.....? The surge and flutter went away because I switched back to catless. So my friend, you have too much back pressure going on that's why its doing that. It has nothing to do with your spring.

NP, Just using the yellow because of my aggressive tuned. If it was the GMS1 I would be using the green one.

Green spring with the Forge valve. Regardless of tune. The spring decision is based off vacuum, not off boost.

How hard is it to change the bypass valve. Do you need to remove the turbo?

No, just 3 screws holding the BPV diaphragm cover & spring on.

Do the springs come with the valve? Or, do you need to buy the 12$ spring kit?
