Swapping rear view mirror?

Just wondering if I can get rid of my shitty cobalt rear view mirror with the one found in the base model hhr, it has auto dim and compass feature...

Ive been doing a decent bit of driving and could really use the compass feature, not sure about the auto dim, but I do a lot of highway driving so I'd assume it would be good. Never used one before...

Anyone try this?

I hate auto dim rearview mirrors, and it's unlikely that the compass will be accurate. Even after calibration, mirror compasses tend to be slow and inaccurate.

Drive a 7-series at night... and you will not hate auto diming mirrors lol
