Sway Bar End Links

Hey guys, I had a question concerning end links. I would like an upgrade over the fragile stock ones and would like to know what is the best option. I checked on ZZP and I could get the MOOG for 60$ or the Billet for 100$. Please keep in mind that I might lower my car with coilovers or maybe just springs in the future. Which ones are the best price-quality wise and would fitting on lowered suspension be an eventual issue.

Model : 2010 Cobalt SS, bone stock (for now)

Thanks!

just get the moog ones, unless you really plan to make your car into a race car.

MOOG from Rock Auto are the cheapest, make sure there for FE5, get the part number from ZZP website lol ....

or for Race Car , Get PowerGrid Endlinks, there more $$ but adjustable.

So if I get the Moog and lower my car about 1.5 inch they will still fit fine right? Not planning into building track car, just planning to lower the crazy torque steer lol!

Also forgot to mention I will eventually get a front Eibach sway bar, any fitting issues? Thanks!

Powell hardcore bar. Don't touch the front swaybar

Alright thanks! After some research it appears it is a far superior product than the OTT or ZZP one. Do you know the price?

In general: A thicker/stiffer rear sway bar will make a car tend to be more neutral or oversteer prone. A thicker/stiffer front sway bar will make the car more prone to understeer.

Therefore, for road courses or improving agility, you'll want to go with a more substantial sway bar on the back and leave the end links alone. Firmer endlinks are like having a firmer front bar, and will cause more understeer. That said, if you're drag racing the car though, perhaps firmer end links would help you in that respect. It just depends what your goals are.

Do the Moog endlinks affect the handling at all versus the OEM TC ones, or are they just a replacement part? I have some Moog ones sitting around to replace my busted OEM ones from changing the springs again.

I can't comment on the specifics of the Moog endlinks, but the general idea is that the firmer the endlinks the more understeer you'll end up having.

Some of the time attack Cobalts didn't even have a front swaybar or endlinks at all. lol

That said, something is better than nothing if you're using the car for normal use.

Just to let you know the swaybar and endlinks have no affect on torque steer. To get rid of that you need transmission mounts. Powells trans mounts are the best by far. I got ottps mounts before I even knew about powell. Ottps bushings wear out where powells bushings dont. Thats what make those better. It was the first mod I got. Gets rid of the torque steer. So go look up powell transmission mounts. Also your talking about springs and swaybars. Powell makes the best of those to. Well depending on if you want moar low or a great performance. If you want moar low get coilovers. If you want great performance go powell yyz springs and koni shocks.

I would suggest just buying the powell yyz v2 or v3 springs and the trans mounts together and not worry about the swaybar and endlinks now. It would be about 550-600 for both give or take a little. From there you could get a sway bar and koni yellow rear shocks if you wanted and you would be set. Then you will have a great handling car. If you really want to go with coilovers I think they normally come with endlinks anyway but not sure.

I went on their site. So when you get the rotated motor mounts package that includes the engine AND transmission mounts right?

Thanks!

Anything suspension related Powell products are far superior than anything offered on the market. Hands down. Unarguably.

No the transmission mounts are just transmission mounts. Stage one is just the front and the stage two it the front and back mount. Just get stage 2. Its about 200 for the stage 2 mounts. I've heard its not really recommended to get the engine and trans mounts. The trans mounts are far superior though. Not worth getting the engine one.

Oh ya I just looked on the website. Those are just the trans mounts. He doesn't make an engine mount like ttr I'm pretty sure. Just email him and tell him you want stage 2 trans mounts.

I got moogs as well. They solved a clunking issue of mine and improved handling to what I assume are stock levels.

Edit: I have a feeling my control arm bushings toasted my end link, fyi. My driver side end link was fine, as was the bushing. My passenger side was shredded.
