Unfortunately your not getting the real benefits of a divided manifold without a twin-scroll turbo

There is no way the pistons are the same DI pistons are very similar to diesel pistons. I dont think the LSJ has those pistons because it is port injection not DI. Niether has forged pistons though. Fail for GM !!!!

Eh, not even the Evo has forged pistons anymore. Seems they're working their way out of stock vehicles.

Maybe the Dwarves are on strike and will no longer produce forged pistons. I know my garden gnome is grumpy these days, so maybe the economy has the "little people" in a slump too.

Uhh, yeah it does.

Forged pistons, titanium connecting rods and forged crankshaft.

Cast cylinder liners though, is that what you were thinking?

No, I was looking at the LSA by mistake. Big difference.

Does a twin turbo setup with the stock K04 and this kit seem possible?

These are pretty high tech cast pistons-cast is not always the lowest quality. There can be
good strong cast pistons. These had to past GMs dyno test cycling between max power
and max torque for over 100 hours. Take a look at this from a SAE paper on the LNF
motor with specific info on these "cast" pistons. Note the oil circulation thru the piston
that takes 100 deg F out of piston AND the fact that they did this cause they were
expecting MORE power.

****, now forged pistons too. Damn this upgrade is getting expensive. I'll do it though just so the engine holds up well.

Your not going to have to replace the pistons, this motor will take the beating, trust me I have put it through hell, with 0 indications of a single problem

very impressive, and the craftsmenship is without flaw as expected!. I will need to purchase your new 2 piece DP correct? (in other words this wont mate to your catless 3" DP I already have?) Also, will the kit work with other brand charge piping, and will they have to support a BOV? Thanks

The kit has a 2 piece downpipe that needs to be purchased, just no way of making the stock replacement work. I can't say if others charge piping will work, but I would assume it would since we made it to fit both stock turbo and our upgrade. Their would need to be some provision of a BOV or divertor valve, since pressure will need to be released.

Cast pistons are by no means crap... Just because they arn't "OMG FORGED" doesnt mean they are ****.

Now if the were hypereutectic then that would be the cheap way out.

While cast is not as good as a forged piece, they will still take quite a bit of power.
