SynapseTurbo's Initial testing 365whp 359wtq

We were able to do some initial testing on our gt2871r top mount turbo kit. Hopefully with the help from Psykosteve we can pull a little more out (needs alot of fine tuning), but it sure is a blast to drive. Also we are able to run an atmospheric BOV with zero drivability issues.

Here is a comparison graph from when we first got the car and from today.

It also has our tubular manifold and downpipe, stock fueling, just some tuning.

Oxymoron much? Surely, you have a tuner that actually know's their **** within your business.

Nice numbers though, can't wait to see what this does at the track.

Seems like you change the curve a lot, down low it really lost power. I think I actually like a stock SS/TC with a tune a little better.

it looks like it is hitting full boost at 4300rpms, i figured a gt28 would spool a bit quicker.

Yes, I have tuned some of the most powerful cars in the country, but steve has alot more experience with this engine than I do, so we decided to work together to provide you guys with the best parts and the best tune possible.

+1. One of my favorite things about the SS/TC was the low end torque. Still sweet numbers though.

looks like some good numbers... Def love how the tq is almost identical to the hp number. I bet the good ole "seat dyno" is pretty sweet.

I'm just going to double up on what was already said.

while your parts and numbers are fantastic, if thats the tune route you go, that'll be your shortcoming.

now lets talk turbo....

what hotside did you guys go with? thats a small-mid frame turbo, and thats REAL laggy.

I'm hopeing that its just a down fall to the rough tune your useing, but with lots of cam phase work, we've had 3575R cars spool at 4k.

and yes i'm talking about ss/tc's

the beauty of a VVT head, is you can go wild with cam phase on the intake side, while it'll cause a touch of KR it'll bring the turbo up like one wouldn't believe. a touch of initial retard on the exhasut will help things out just that much more.

use the shift event trigger to phase the exhasut cam WAYYYYYYYYY out and you'll have a mini-antilag, with out the poping and cracking, but it'll keep the egt's up. thus, a happy turbo!

i'm just speaking from my experience with the SIDI motor thus far.

cheers tho guys, your truly the cutting edge thus far with the LNF.

great looking charge pipe as well!!!!

Holy turbo lag batman! Have you guys thought about upgrading the compressor wheel on the stock turbo? 365hp is nice, but how does the car feel since you dont get any of that until like 4400rpm? The stock turbo comes on at like 2800rpm. Nice work on the build, Id like to see a GT3076R soon!
