today i wired up my msd shift light and after trying alot of different wires i found out that the tach wire is a purple wire coming out of the coil pack on the passenger side all the way to the left, then hook up power and ground and your set

 

hey thanks! this would help out a lot of people from going and tearing up their wiring harness. lol

 

no problem man cause it was crazy goin through all the different wires trying every one..i can take pics if anybody needs.

Can anyone confirm weather this is the same for the SS/SC?

 

Did you splice the msd tach into the purple and keeping your factory tach? I would like to see pics of the wires and the tach. Where did you mount it, rpd would kinda be in the way if you got one

 

why didnt u just take ur insterment cluster out, a few screws, poke a mutimeter into the back of the connection and rev ur engine, try each one till u get the tach, much easier and reqires less wireing. thats how i did my talon, took 5 minutes.
