VHT nightshade is the cheapest. You can **** up your tailights if you don't know how to shade them yourself.

Lamin-X. But the tailights are insanely hard to tint that way IMO.

You mix clear coat with some black base and start with one or two coats. Three is pretty dark, so I would recommend one or two just as a starting point. I am talking about spraying the paint out of a gravity feed automotive spray gun, not spray paint. Make sure you lightly sand the lense before you paint.

I do paint and body work. There are a few pictures of mine on my car in my pictures. I charge $100 to do a whole set to whatever shade you like. I use the same paint and clearcoat that is used on your car so the finish looks factory but trick. Check out certifit if you need a extra set while your workiing on yors. Sure u can pick up a set for like $20.00 pm me if you interested

I used vht niteshade from advanced auto parts. All I did was take out the tail lights, clean em up real good. Go shade by shade, so do one shade wait about 10 mins, do another, wait ect.. mine turned up really nice and I didn't sand or clearcoat. Alot of people will tell you to sand and/or clearcoat, but according to the can (if I remembered seeing it, might of been something else.. you don't have to clear coat. can of vht niteshade costs $14 and you only really use half of it, so I did my side markers too.

hope everything works out.

I bought a new set of tail lights off ebay for $50(entire set, all 4 lights) and used them to tint with VHT night shade, that way if I screwed up, I still had a stock set, lol

I also didn't "black them out"... I just wanted them to match the car more, bright red lights and sport red tint coat, looked like ****... before and after:

MY turn .... custom mixed 85%clear binder, 15%black, reduced and like 10 coats.

when u look at them they look like another pice of plastic... but u can still see the red lights very good thorough them.. headlights also look black but my 4300k hid;s( 55 watt ballasts) hardley emit enough light (looks like stock lights)

Wow I just saw your gallery and all I can say is those are the sexiest tail lights I have ever seen in my life. I did the VHT nite shades and it looked ok but not perfect and then I had a tint shop tint my tails and they look great except the tint is starting to peel in a couple spots. How much would you charge to find a set of lights paint them same way as yours and then send them to me if that's even possible?

That completely depends on how much black you put in the clear.
