ahh 10-4. When I did a google search it came up with a lot of Diseal fuel links- what i did find is it "in 5th gear your ecu will lean out mixtures for fuel economy" so i can assume that if u hold for a prolonged period of time your leaning your engine out like WOAH

Even when I was 16 years old getting my first truck I wouldn't even lug it around because it made sense to me all the load that was getting put on every moving component. I guess not everyone is able to "feel" how the car is reacting

You know my car is only holding 18lbs in reverse. Nick, can you fix this? Is this strange? Also when I start in 2nd from a dead stop it takes a second for the car to move.

Lugging the car like this in too high of gear is the reason 90% of people on this site who have bad clutches, have bad clutches.. people gotta learn to downshift.

I've done quick pulls from 65 MPH in 5th just to check max boost (where you usually get it under max load) and for clutch slip. As long as you are at WOT for say 5 sec or so (that's not as short as ya think), then I don't see any problem. Sure pulling 10 sec plus from lower RPMS is gonna raise EGTs and stress the motor.

I don't know why people are saying that would be a problem...still well under 10 sec for that pull. No motor is gonna be hurt by a quick pull in 5th.
