Hey fellas, I bought my 08' ss with a trifecta tune. I gota check engine light and after looking up the codes, a few members told me my tune needed to be adjusted. I tried to get a hold of vince through 2 different numbers, (the website # and a number the previous owner gave me) and krs performance in hartford (im outa western ma) but I get nothing. does anybody know how i can geta hold of vince? also...i have a friend who can hp tune me. would he able to adjust my tune? thanks guys

 

Nope trifecta makes the ecm untunavle unless trifecta or if its a layer tune u have to get ahold of vince... Good luck

I dont deal with vince im a tuner with hptuners i think its email. And some people say its hard to get ahold of him like 2-4 weeks somtimes

 

now can you explain what a layer tune is? and do you know what my options are as far as retuning without getting a hold of trifecta?

 

Email or call vince and ect a layer tune is a trifecta / hptuner tune

 

if you email him he will respond within a day. You need the tuning cable to log or receive tune updates for your car. I doubt you are throwing codes from the tune.

My codes were lean at idle, evap purge and fuel pressure. do u know what the problem could be? on this thread, i was told my tune needed an adjustment

Lmao^^^^ im sorry to say if the tunes not dialed in u will and can throw a code.

 

Its either your purge valve on your purge canister or your evap purge solenoid on your intake, that would be my guess.

I had a P2187 recently and replaced the one on the intake first, didn't fix it, replaced the one on the canister fixed it.

You not only have the P2187 (which could be a vacuumn leak to be honest) but you have hard evap codes to go with yours.

They are only like $20 each

also had p2187 it was my evap purge solenoid was making me go into limp mode changed it and its been good ever since
