I have been running mine for 2 weeks. No problems, runs strong. I didn't use the plastic tubing and I made a mount for mine so it doesn't move around or fall off. Sounds soo good too...
LOL yea I knew a kid who tried to make one and i begged him not to put it on but he just had to and like a few weeks later he's like "I have no boost! WTF?!" so he went back to stock and still had an issue. He described it just as above "seems like a vacuum leak" so he took it to the sealership and he effed up the MAF sensor. They put a new one in and it runs like new. Every single "custom" CAI that someone's made for these cars that I know of has come back to bite them...
Give it time. My boy's took about 3 weeks...

Yes, the LNF's mass air meter is very sensitive about changes in the design of the intake tube which is why it is takeing companys so long to develop a good intake that doesnt cause the computer to freak out.
I know I was just making a point that people who don't know what they're doin shouldn't touch precise sophisticated things. I 2 foot long piece of pipe, a dremal, a drill bit, and an air filter is not all that's required to make a CAI.
Chill out man. I was just agreeing with what you Said.
I haven't either. I think as long as your installation is quality work, there should be no problems...
i have a full 3" from turbo to AEM filter even have the Spectre MAF adapter, it runs great, but knocks a few degrees, ive seen up to 4.5degrees of knock from 3000rpm up. now, i have heard that the LNF's do knock factory, but to me, thats alot, but imma go back to stock and see if it still does it. probably will be fixed with stock intake. ill let yall know. although gas mileage has stayed the same and that turbo spools fast!
I will probably go back to stock until I get a tune as well, this boost cut is killing me, now that the ECM has learned the PCM, its very noticeable, sounds awesome but that is about it... if the LNF turbo upgrade is tuned for an intake like the stage II s/c kit was, i'll wait until its released before I go the intake route again...
