Theoretical max hp on the stock turbo?
I am wondering as to what you guys think the max hp possible is out of our stock turbos?
This is assuming running on 93 octane fuel and any nessesary intake/exhaust/intercooler upgrades required. If it had all the right parts, what is this turbo in our cars capable of?

So the couple bolt ons a few SS/TC owners have and putting down over 300whp, you're saying they have a "radical tune"?
I second that 290 to 300 wheel, safely
you can tune the crap out of the car, but you will be just overspinning thet turbo and only creating alot of hot air, you can't overcome the efficiency, or lack of, of the stock small turbo.
tq number will spike high on cars, but eventually drop down(sign of a small inefficient turbo running big boost), so don't be fooled by peak dyno numbers, but "area under the curve" is what really counts.
There was a guy over on the solstice forum, running a pcmforless tune, he had like a big boost spike(26 psi) or so and his tq was like 360+ wheel, it was crazy, but his hp was at 295 or so wheel, that turbo would not make any more power, even at 26psi.

No, not necessarily, every dyno reads differently, and not all people use their corrected hp. Some are tuned on 91 octane some on 93 octane. If you read the flow data on the turbo, it is designed to safely support Around 300whp. When I said radical tune, I did not mean that their motor is going to explode, I just ment that their tuner probably changed more of the tables than normal, and they may be running a little more timing and a little less fuel as well.
