Thoughts on Muffler Delete

Hey guys im thinking about doing a muffler delete on my 09 ss/tc. What are your thoughts? What all do i need to do it? Does it throw codes? Is there a how to? I checked but didnt find anything. Sorry about all the ?s im new to the whole muffler delete thing. Thanks for any input

The muffler delete is usually made by some exhaust shop since it consist of taking out the muffler and swapping it with a piece of piping of the same size. Unless you have the tools to cut exhaust and weld i would suggest bringing it to a place you trust that do exhaust work.
It does not throw any codes of any sort since its not emission related on the exhaust.

cut out muffler, weld in new pipe. That's it. Nothing complicated, does nothing but make more noise. Sounds great for city driving, but gets really annoying during long distance highway driving.

do it!! made it sound sooo much better, i have a catless dp also and it suonds awesome, i got mine done for $30 at a shop they welded in a piece of 3" pipe and put my stock tip back on

Doing a muffler delete is dumb and childish imo. Everytime I hear a civic driving by me like that I just roll my eyes.

just get a 3in catless downpipe and leave the muffler on.. sounds stock till WOT, its decently loud (on the outside lol) deff an awesome sound
