Tire help

So I have a 08 and I need to get new tires however I live in nebraska where the might be snow 6 months out of the year so I need all season, want to get a good tire for around 500 and still keep a good look on the tires, any suggestions.

The stock size Continental DWS are great in snow without being a dedicated snow tire while also being pretty good for traction on dry pavement. Tire Rack has them for $588 a set of four, maybe you can find a good deal on them installed locally.

What tires come stock on the car, I dont know for sure if mine are stock, I bought it used in early july of 2010

You should check out TireRack.com you can look there for tire ratings and see what other people think about the tires. They have surveys you can look at and see what they say about tracktion in dry, wet, snow ect conditions.

You can't beat dedicated snow and summer tires. That's the more expensive route but the best option.

If you are just getting an All-Season tire, I vote for the ContiExtremeContact DWS that was mentioned. I have them and I am more than happy. I've used them in the snow without issue and I drag on them in the summer. I got my best time of a 12.8 with a 2.1 60' on them. Still plenty of life left in them.

You should go summer tires. Ill never use all seasons again. Get some winter tires for winter and Youl be good.

Personally I went the route of having my stock tc wheels with my continental extreme contact DW for the summer and a set of 17in wheels(ss/na) with continental extreme winter contact tires. I think that's the best route to go in general. Once you go to a dedicated summer and a dedicated winter tire you will never go back to all seasons. Butnif you are limited to only all season tires the continental extreme contact DWS is the way to go IMO. Obviously I like continental tires lol

actually in the long run dedicated is the cheaper route, u pay for rims once, and the tires last much longer, cause u use them half the time

Stock tire is Continental SportContact2. All seasons are ok by me. I would go for a W speed rated tire vs. the stock Y rated for better ride quality. Anyone agree? Thanks.
