Top teir gasoline.

I am suprised sunoco is not on the list, looks like i will have to switch to shell gasoline, wish their was a chevron close to me.

Been using sunoco ultra up to this point but it is not on the list and gm recomends these fuels in the owners manual..

I actually emailed sheetz and asked them about this. They say they use the same additives that are listed for top tier, just slightly less than what is required to be called top tier. I would think sunoco is probably he same, since their Canadian branch does meet it.

Since Sunoco Canada is on the list, and they recently purchased Petro Canada, looks like I can keep filling up with the fuel I swear by ! Personally, I'm surprised they're not on there for the US either, I swear by Sunoco and my car sees nothing else.

Shell is the only top tier in my region, but none are close to me or on my commute.

The BP AMOCO refinery here supplies most of the indies.

For best performance...
Stock - Shell V-Power = No Ethanol = 91
GMS1 - Sunoco Ultra = 10% Ethanol = 93 + 1 of Ethanol

What's interesting is ever since I started filling up on Exxon/Mobil the past few tanks, I've gotten little to no knock on stock tune, while I would get it on Shell gas.

I am going to try switch back to Mobil and see if it cures the random part throttle knock I sometimes get.

With IAT's rising for the summer, I put some temp correction in the timing to help that a degree or 3. You has email on it.

Had the same results with light load KR on Valero & BP, 2 tanks of each.

I've used shell 93 from day one with no problems, on the track VP C12 or 112 anything else doesn't make sense.. if you xcross or strip..

***need to know***
If you use any fuel over 93 or 98 YOU NEED TO GET TUNED!! Your just wasting money on fuel if you don't get tuned.. the senor will adjust the spark and timing.. you'll lose power... yes the sensor will adjust for higher oct gas..

vp c-12 is leaded, and it is 108 octane not 112.

not all stations are created equal too, some continue to ditribute fuel from leaky tanks, and some sell 89 out of the 93 pump. Shady business. My car runs great on Costco 93, Marathon, Shell, and BP. I avoid Clark and Citgo. On roadtrips i load up superchips and that way i can run anything over 91 and get great mileage

I've got 100 R+M unleaded (Sunoco) at the pump about 15 miles from me. At $6.xx/gallon, it's not for getting groceries, but a nice mix with our otherwise best... 91 R+M makes a decent mixture.
