Torque steer anyone?

sup people. I just did a service on my '08 SS/TC today and found out I need new tires. The fronts are low on tread. I had the mechanic/ technician ( whatever the hell you wanna call him) swap my rear with the front to be a l'il safer. On the way home, I was running through the gears lightly and the car just keeps pulling to the right HARD!! **** got scary for me, and I'm no puss. lol. Did I get used to the loss of traction on the tires that I swapped. It didn't pull this hard when I first got the car. Does an LSD sound like a good idea @ this point?

not sure about that but its safer to have the bald tires on the front than the rear....with bald tires on the ass end can come out real easy

Just buy new tires and get an alignment. Don't be cheap when it comes to safety on the road, if it rains you can get loose with bald tires in the back.

Yea, that doesn't sound like torque steer to me. Sounds like you need a front end alignment. Torque steer is when your engine creates so much torque that the cv axles make your car hard to keep in a straight line. As you fight the car can pull to the left, then right, and just back and forth.

Car never torque steers. GM did a good job on these cars with that!

Got some new rubbers today! Bridgestone 970as Pole position tires. Waaay better than those beater ass Kuhmo ecstas. They came with a warranty too. Runs so much smoother. I'm satisfied for now... until I throw some aftermarket rims on there

You are retarded. It was the brands fault not the fact that you rotated some bald ass tires around and probably still need an alignment? Genius.

It was just tire pull. Mine did that bad just swapped diagonal instead of front to rear. Let me guess you drive in the left lane which is pitched left wears the tires like that also. Mine pulled right like a bitch too . When I finished didn't need an alignment since nothing really changed .

The 970 pole positions look like a nice tire .

Kuhmos cup alot from what I've seen also causing lots of vibrations.
