i blew my stock intercooler end tank off lol again now i oreded a Tr8 any reviews on this and how ar they stability wise car was running fine until then any reviews wise im on a 24psi tune with catless downpipe and k&n SRI please let me know

nice i have my car on jackstands and ready to go once shes in im so pissed i spent 370 on a new stock one and i did 2nd gear pull and POP there she goes again said wtf **** it need a new one im BYt tuned so i hope i have no more issues u have one on urs or what

 

Kinda late to ask for reviews on a product you already ordered. I went with ZZP there intercooler is all around great.

 

I have heard good things about it, but you should have asked for reviews before buying it lol...good luck tho, I'm sure you'll love the tr8

 

I have a stock IC sitting in the garage for sale

 

TR8 is a really good intercooler, I got one when my stock one finally gave. Advice from me though is watch the 2 elbows, they look like perfectly square but they each have a slightly shorter side to them which is the side to go in to the charge pipe, after that, fit is perfect, looks nice, and you get free stuff by taking a pic and putting on their facebook.

 

so what do u erccomend on the install for tips wise i am tuned also any issue with anything popping off or no and lol what kind of free stuff

 

The only tip I can offer is be prepared to bend the mounting tabs it comes with as it will not sit close enough to the car in most cases without bending them. I have the TR10 and that's really my only gripe. Otherwise, it's a pretty quality piece.

I have been tuned for like 25k and the Tr8 is rock solid. I run either a 23psi 91 tune or a 26psi e47 tune. Just make sure you get the clamps tight... I forgot one once, it blew of at 26psi and it scared the sweet bebe jebus out of me

 

Yea I'm On a 24psi BYT tune 93 obv. And any break on period I mean this is my 2nd Intercooler that unles stock wise I mean 2nd gear it popped both times I highly doubt my tune is off or can it be also any break on period with Urs at all or no rymax

 

break in period? ummm nope, I beat on the **** as soon as the car was back together. The TR8 and ZZp and all other aftermarket intercoolers are all metal. bolt it up and make sure your clamps are tight then hammer it and make sure it holds

I haven't dyno'd it yet but it pulls like a frieght train. At a road track I was smoking a few supercharged 4.6l stangs all day, a few porsches, STIs and others. Its quick enough to get in trouble with

Just watched the vid of you vs the SRT-4.

Saw a comment where someone said their SRT-4 keeps up with bolted Z06's to which someone replied... "keep up with bolt on zo6's with a stock turbo srt-4?Give me some of the majestic pixie dust you sprinkle on your engine so my cobalt can keep with ferraris please."

Thaaats not my car. I don't remember racing any SRT4s... Its probably Drewbroo. He had a coupe and a sedan. both on ethanol, both very quick and he is a damn good driver. If you want a different video let me know. Right now its the borla only. Otherwise its 3 inch pipe all the way back

 

I like mine a lot, but I wish I would have went with the TR10

i got the tr12. i wanted the tr10 but they didn't have it in stock so they price matched and sold me the 12 for the 10s price.

 

just got it from UPS im at work now ill be starting to put it on tonight
