TR8 Intercooler
No removal of crashbar needed. You just loosen it, take out the two bolts that you mount the IC to, then slide the IC in and bolts it back together. If you have an impact, it's automatically bend the tabs for you. It's not a perfect fit by any means. There are some rub-points, but it is a sturdy piece.
install is taking place tonight. me and a few others are meeting him at work than goign to his house to give him a hand and get this on for him

Sounds like he started already. The charge pipe keeps blowing off he said. Im guessing its not tight enough. Use Hairspray around the end of the elbow to create a nice seal if you have too. It also makes it easy to slide the rubber coupler on.
I hairspray all my couplers. Works like a charm. Tr8 is a great I/c. Had mine for about a year now and there's nothing wrong with it. Iat 1 and 2 are usually within 5* of each other when cruising around.
He PM'd me at like 11:00am and I was in a massive work meeting :/ He said he didnt have the ring area like my photos showed. Im guessing his elbows were entirely powdercoated which is waaay the hell better. Im curious if he didnt have beadrolled ends though.
If he doesnt, he can do what I did and just put tiny creased at 5-6 points around the elbow ends and that will work the same way.
Treadstone sent him the wrong couplers. They sent him an extra set of couplers that connect a 2.5" to a 3" pipe... I think its for there charge pipe kit. He tried to connect the rubber coupler of the lower stock charge pipe to this coupler Treadstone sent him so it was rubber clamped to rubber. I fully understand the issue now. I thought he was refering the wrinkle coating on the 90* elbows as rubber. Problem solved.
