Track Tested the ZZP 6 Speed Setup
Track Tested the ZZP 6 Speed Setup
I will start by quoting myself from a couple months ago...
Well, today was the day. We went out to track test the new 6 speed setup on 9 second power. This setup has dyno'd well past 700whp, but we turned it down to 35psi and ~665whp peak uncorrected. I planned to launch at around 8-10psi and had a progressive boost curve that hits 15psi right after launch and then takes 3 seconds to ramp to 35psi. While getting ready for the first run, I was told that the track is hooking up ridiculously well. For this reason, I let it pop on the anti-lag a couple times and launched at 8k rpm with 17-18psi boost. The track was in fact very sticky, which leads to the question...
What broke? Let's take a few guesses...

i'm not falling for your tricks. the ET record is what broke.
that or i'm sticking with my original observation, and some interior piece broke. along with the hopes and dreams of who was next to you

lol, I wish the et record had broke. If I made a full pass, we'd have been looking at a low 10 at about 142 or so mph.
Nope, some parts broke...

Both mounts were stock. The zzp mount on the front of the trans held up just fine, as did the zzp mount on top of the trans. We first found the broken motor mount and Ryan drove to the shop to pick up a zzp mount. Unfortunately, after we replaced the top mount, I slid under the car to check out the lowers and noticed that the rear mount bracket was completely snapped in half. It was getting late in the day and it started raining right then as well. So that's how the race season ended.
Oh well, that's how it goes sometimes.

What do you think will break if I run it at the track?
