same principal but different way of achieving it not anywhere close to the same. that's like saying xbox is ripping off ps3 cause they released another game console. there's only so much you can differentiate. and from the general consensus ttr made the better product . people can swing off whoever they want to at the end of the day i buy the best product not from the most popular or cool person to buy from.
i didn't say that turbotech stole their design did i but someone did

do you not have anything better to do than troll my posts and talk ****?

so have you tried all 4 different mounts to know which ones are the best?

actually if you read what you said you did say that...just sayin
as i have said time and time again no i didn't go through multiple ones i went with what was recommended to me by someone who knows more than 98% of the lsj community. why would i waste my time switching in and out when i have the word of a dude who knows what hes talking about and has seen the multiple setups?

SO just curious. Out of all oh you who picked a brand other then ZZP, was there a reason you didn't choose ZZP's?
I mean everyone buys everything else from them, so figured there would be more people buying these also.

Well it sounds like all three are really good. Also Over the tops seems might be ok...

Well, not sure who's to get... How much are powell's right now? I wrote Gloria, but she must not been online today.

Yeah I've been looking into the difference. Trying to figure it all out. Hard to decide. They call seem to be good and seem to made a little different. All roughly the same price now it seems.

Not sure if this still holds true as I bought the mounts a year and a half ago but powells used a generic bushing instead of one specific for the application aka ttr.

Powell mounts are the original. All others are copied off them. I now make an all steel version stage 1 to reduce costs and simplify installation. The rotation is not always correct on the copies for various reasons. One vendor uses poly inserts and are larger in overall dimension. The other uses a voided bushing insert

Poly has more vibes by nature than a voided insert.

its all been well documented here and elsewhere not worth talking about sadly. Exsoccer did a good "how to" for installs.

We cannot speak of other mounts, as we dont know what they use... And we are NOT about to put other vendors down, to try to make us look better.

But we use poly; we spent a lot of time testing durometers levels in conjunction with overall bushing diameters, and internal pin diameters, so it can absorb vibs. Without allowing any excess engine movement. We have never had one poly bushing in our STOP mounts "wear out/fatigue", even after 100's of sets sold.

I guess what he is saying is "generic" as in a voided bushing from Bilstein used in Vdubs for suspension arms. The poly is "generic" as in:" formed " from .....poly.
meh

Through my hours of research, I have yet to read a single bad thing about Powell's mounts or their customer service. Sounds like the way to go IMO.

So stock are rubber, and ZZP's are rubber, so I don't get how they'd be a big improvement. They have a 110% money back guarantee agaist any shake. I do like the 110% things.

So I might have missed this, probably did, but if Powell don't use Polly, then what do they use?

Ok, for rear mounts I think I'm going with ZZp, but not sure about front mounts.

Still curious what Powell's are made of.

I find it funny that our name isn't even on the list and I know we have sold more mounts then any other vendor because we have been selling them longer. Some rules for shopping with mounts....

Buy both of your trans mounts from the same vendor, don't use a ttr rear and our front. They weren't designed together and you will end up with problems.

Look at what they are made of, 3 companies still sell billet 6061 mounts. OTTP, ZZP, AND TTR. Powell sells a welded steel version. Obviously billet aluminum costs more, looks better, and doesn't rust. Your choice.

Finally is price, look out for sales as they pop up all the time. Right now you can buy our front and rear mounts for $140

I had a set of TTR upper and lower mounts on my cavalier, loved them both and wish I had the money to purchase a set for the balt.

For the average person, I dont see any mount being vastly better than the other one, in terms of aftermarket.

In terms of different than stock, I would say they are all better than the stock version, so anything you get is gonna be good.

Just pick a company or style you like, and go for it. Chances are youre not gonna take the time to remove them and buy a different set once their on, cause its gonna be a bitch to do the work lol.
