I didnt realize that there would be this much interest in this kit, so, i guess well have to bring the group buy back, a win/win for all of us.
CudaJoe, could you make a 2nd category in the first post. Well wait till we get all 10 spots filled, then well reduce the price again and post the link.....sounds good?

What do you guys think about a group buy in the intake kit with air straightener?

The flare is on the intercooler itself not the piping. At least it was on mine.

I have bead lips on the intercooler itself (i believe that's what they're called), but my piping doesn't. So they'll just slip right off

cuz its a smooth surface so the coupler has nothing to hold onto. the Tbolt will prolly hold it for a while but with alot of psi running thru there it will prolly pull the coupler out eventually. May not tho?

yes. it will make it so the coupler has to stretch out to slip off which it "shouldnt" be able to do with the help of the Tbolt. You could always just put it on and tighten the Tbolts down good and see if it holds up, it may not slip off at all.

I just called a local shop, they're gonna bead roll it for me. So this should be pretty good after they're bead rolled.

I'm excited. Monday, I'll be wearing a treadstone intercooler

if you install the aluminum pipe with T-bolt clamp, the surface friction between the two is so much on our products, the we do not get blow offs below 30psi. Bead roll ends are sometimes over-rated. When we powder coat the pipes, the surface friction coefficient becomes very low, because of the paint, thats why we leave 1" of non painted suface.
For extra precuation, you can flare the end of the aluminum pipe with vice grips, and put hair spray on before clamping down.
