so why does the manifold need to be redesigned for the l61/lsj? just curious because as far as i know i can throw that manifold on my car no modifications or anything.

yeah im pretty sure it doesnt need it either unles the firewall clearances are different. the exhaust manifolds should be universal and bolt right right up for the most part. intake manifold on the other hand would have to be different.

technically you can slap it on the LSJ... but sinse we havent tried it we are not going to say that it does fit...
