trifecta or gm stage 1

now that its finally out, we all still thinkin bout doing a trifecta tune or pay an extra 200 and get gm tune. gm tune= 20 hp 60 tq vs trifecta 50-60 hp 60-70 tq 300 vs 600 bucks, who knows??!! and i figure the trifecta tune pulls to redline where the gm one dies after 4500 how bout trap speed we know trifecta is around 110-115

There is pro's and cons to both systems but GM Stage I even though it is a milder tune is safer and is covered by waranty. And from the Dyno's that I have seen from stock to GMSI they have been netting more than 20hp gains.

I thought I was getting GMS1 but now I'm leaning more and more towards Trifecta

warranty and very good gains/ or Tecnically no warranty and a bit higher more personalized gains.

you pay for your warranty when you buy the car. you pay more for the gm because its got warranty with it as well.
trifecta tune hideable/changeable is tecnically undetectable by teck 2 but if they dig deeper they will find it they will only waste there time looking if you **** up something very expensive. The map sensors have a tendancy of screwing up with it..

No reason you can't go HPT and still goto the dealer. Plenty of people have been tuned with it and still had their car serviced under warranty. I vote HPT or TF. If you go GMS1, get a tune on top of it, otherwise GMS1 out IMO.

Edit: And I have trapped 115 on street tires as well.

i'm not up to date on the stage 1 story. but when gm puts in stage 1 on the TC cars. is it only a tune or is it like the stage kits for the SC cars. with better injectors, tune and other stuff?

I picked up 41hp @ the wheels and 73tq @ the wheels with Stage I.

check out the link in my sig for my dyno graph.

Thats with the Stage kit and a Dejon SRI only. And the warranty is important to me because I just pulled the motor and tranny out of my Vette, so I dont want to waste money breaking something on the Cobalt which is my DD.
