Hey im asking a question for a friend. His buddy has a ss/tc that he wrote off in a accident and he wants to know if he can take his ecu with hp tuners on it and put it in his car that doesn't have a tune?
I was thinking there vin matched to each other computer in the car. So my question is can you swap a ecu with a tune on it to another vehicle?

 

I'm guessing he's going to put the tuned ecm on another Lnf. He can use it if thats what he's planning to do just needs to do the security relearn and it should work. Also yes they are Vin matched but I think I heard with hptuners you can change the Vin to match the car. I would still retune since no 2 cars are the same and it's all depends on the mods that where tuned for
