Tuner went MIA..

Okay so awhile ago I had the cat warm up cycle removed from my car and it has occasionally stumped on a cold start.. Would kinda sound cammed for a little bit. Well now since the weather is cold it's really bad.. I'll start it up it will stumble and then shut off.. I've been contacting my tuner to have the cat warm up turned back on so I can actually start my car in the mornings.. Hasn't answered me in awhile over a month...

How can I have this thing turned back on my car?

My tuner lives close by so I would always drive to him intend of via email

You will still have to find someone with HP tuners to flash it, even via an e-mail tune, and you will have to unlock the PCM on thier cable again.

Cat warm-up only retards timing for a bit, should not make the car run any differently. Odds are you have some other sort of issue.

Buy you HPTuners Standard.

I've looked around some hp tuners settings. If you do have vcm suite make a copy of your existing tune. Open it. There is a tab that says "engine" click it. Box will open up the first tab should be in General and under that it should say Catalyst heating- Disable or enable it. then save. I think that's it but I'm no tuner. If anyone actually knows help the guy out.

you have to make changes to your tune other than just turning cat warm up on. trims have to be set or it will run like crap on start up....ask me how i know.

OP you need to either buy hptuners, or drive to someone who has it.

It sort of depends on how the tune was setup to begin with, but more than likely your cam tables in particular will need to be changed in order for the car to not run all sorts of funky when re-enabling the cat warmup function.

absolutely not. never ever made that mistake...

anyways, OP. everyone's right. either buy hptuners or go to someone who has it. but you're gonna need a new tune file either way.
