Some of the stuff Nick did on his tunes really made no sense. The people that I met down in NJ in September when I came down to do a big get together and tune meet all said that they couldn't get in touch with him for months. One tune especially was designed to cover up an issue that should be have been fixed beforehand. The other one was just not finished and causing a lot of issues as well as left a lot on the table for the car.

I feel bad for anyone who went to him prior but I definitely can lend a hand in getting people back to where they want/need to be with their car. Feel free to PM me.

Getting in touch with him was impossible and there were things wrong in my tune. One flash by gremlin85 and I had a smile on my face. Definitely talk to 1ajeremyd about getting tuned by gremlin85. There shop is called New England performance and tune. Great bunch of guys to deal with.

If BYT is your tuner then he changed his email address and since Sandy came through the power up there has been out and now the storm last night. So give him a break. Go into his website and he will get back to you within a day.

Yes to remote tune via email you will need to have hptuners on your end as well.

It's a shame this happened with Nick, because to be quite honest, he really was a stand up guy and a HUGE contributor to the community as a whole. Once he tried getting the ball rolling with his shop everything seemed to take a **** for him though. I think part of it was he just got way overwhelmed. It's not an excuse to **** over a paying customer by any means, but it is a shame none the less.

I really agree with everyone saying get a new tuner and getting an HPT of your own. I know spending $500 is a lot, but imagine the flexibility you'd have! You can go to anyone and learn to tune yourself. CCSS3 (from what I understand) taught Gremlin and started teaching me.

I'm not nearly as savvy as most people on this forums when it comes to cars, but I learned enough to tweak the tunes that are given to me. Personally I don't know if I'll ever be able to build a tune from scratch. The couple times I tried CCSS3 told me my car would die if I loaded it and I gave up after that.

Anyway, I am comfortable enough to modify someone else work so I don't have to hound them all the time for things like; I forgot where my K&N filter was before I cleaned it and now my trims are all over the place and when I wanna go back to cat warm up for winter, I can easily make the adjustments myself.

Tuning is hard for me, and perhaps it's just I didn't invest enough time in learning it and I don't know if I ever will, but it's nice to have some sort of control of my tunes. As little as it may be it's the best ease of mind I've had on my car yet.

John and I plan on coming down there next year to do another meet and tune weekend like we did this year. If you are looking for something sooner than later, get in touch with me and I can work something out. Sounds like you need to do something sooner than later.

It's hard for me, too, mainly because I find it so dry and boring.

I also got involved with nick in his early days. He was a hell of a nice guy. He taught me
alot of stuff. I have not had any contact with him in a couple years. sad that he has abandoned the cobalt community. I think I paid him 75 or 100 dollars for my first tune.
He helped me so much, and never charged me a penny more. so sad. I also have to give
a shout out to a guy named I AM BROKE. That man literally taught me tuning and never
asked for nothing in return. Not many people left in this world like him. Sorry to say, but
the bottom line is buy hptuners and pay for a tune then mentor up with that tuner (or another tuner) and learn hptuners yourself.
