I believe the OP, but if you were Hahn ... what would you do if a lot of people start calling wanting new turbochargers?

This is a shitty deal all around, but I'm not going to boycott Hahn or anything. Seems to me like the OP is manning up to the reality of his situation and dealing with it the best way he can so far.
Thanks for someone understanding what im doing and why im doing it. It seems the peace of metal came from where they drilled the hole for the valve cover vent line (it was round and about the same size) im just hopeing my car wont be down for much longer

Send me the core dude. I may be able to help where your local shop could not.
If it's beat somthin' nasty, the very worst is that you wont get your full core charge back.
You still get a bigger, stock fitting turbo for about the same money as a new one.

That would be what I would do if that happened to me.

hahn needs to know bottom line. just because BIGTAG is a thoughtful human being, doesnt mean 30 other people wont go off the deepend because a flaw made it through production and no one gave any real world feedback. And hahn may be able to offer rebuild labor or discount on a larger turbocharger due to the misfortune here.

To the OP Id highly recommend another used turbo before you rebuild that one to stock. Too much time involved, and if the job wasnt done perfectly , bam your out of a ride again.

its always cheaper and faster to buy something that works at a junkyard then to pay a tech 100 bucks an hour to **** with it

qft.. 90% of people aren't saying you need to do something even for hahn to fix it .. it's so EVERYONE ELSE knows.. and the problem can be addressed

this is a good idea too

there's NO reason for your car to be sitting because the dealership can't get you one.. things breaking are just reasons to upgrade

I would STILL let Hahn know what happened.
I was planning on getting their exhaust, but having second thoughts now.

Your hp is incorrect\to high I think U mean 308 whp

Hey T2-------

You gotta have some major mods or a turbine wheel upgrade to be pushing 340 whp SAE (which I don't believe one bit) Tuning and a few bolt-ons alone will not do this.......Either a dyna pack dyno (taking the wheels off thereby removing 70+ lbs of unsprung weight) or turbine wheel upgrade and STD hp.....

You want to PM me how you managed this level of hp?
