Turbo timer

has anyone even gotten passed the security system to run a turbo timer yet? i heard most people can only get it to run for like 30 seconds. but yeah stock turbo its un needed

im hoping to get a viper security system, comes with a turbo timer built in. i think most do nowadays.

I mean I relize I dont need it on stock turbo, Eventually I want to get a bigger turbo! So its just something I want, Just will that turbo timer work?

The only time a turbo timer is really needed is if you've been driving very agressivley and then you immediately shut off your car so unless you do that on a regular basis you'll be fine without one

haha... guys i totally understand what you guys are saying. I was just wondering if that turbo timer would work for our car. thats all... What i would need your help with is like what intake bov and tuner to go with... cause that i am lost with! oh and what cp to go with as well! And also if a bov would work with out the tuner because I could get one from a friend for cheap..thanks

get clear images maf relocation and a bov will worth with no issue. you just need to get the correct flange for th bov you want.......i like all clear images stuff therefor i have it all. all intakes you need a tune with it.

hmm did anybody notice he has a 2.4 ss not a lnf turbo?and with enough money you can make anything work

yes any turbo timer will work, u just have to wire it right.

haha sorry... just havent changed it i should probably go ahead and do that considering i have had a cobalt ss/tc since 2008...but so what would i need to do for bov and which one do you recommend..

ic piping, block off plate, and a recirculation line. i personally like the ssqv

message clear image auto.
they're the only ones who make it.
its basically a cold side piping with a spot welded on for the maf sensor to go.
plus they give you an extension cord to make it reach.
a block off plate for the bov spot on turbo, a block off plate for the stock maf sensor spot and of course the cold side piping.
will need to tune it as well currently trifecta can tune for blow through (boost) maf reading instead of the normal air intake type

It could be possible that coolant flows (gravity) through the turbo when off. May or may not be true for this car. I'd look, but my car is covered with fluffy white global warming, falling from the sky.

Turbo timer is a pointless mod on a water + oil cooled modern turbo, imo.
