Exclamation turbocharger not making boost

while driving, the boost gauge will not go higher than 0. I'm not very sure what's going on so I'm asking on here for some help and a list of things to check. I DO hear the bpv when I try to make boost but it still won't actually produce said boost. any help would be appreciated :-\

edit: I will try to produce as much info as needed. please ask and I will try my best to give you answers.

Edit: It isn't a consistent issue, it will drive fine for random miles then suddenly not go above 0, sometimes it will throw a P0101 sometimes it won't. If i turn the car off then back on, it will "fix" the problem but will activate again after a mile or so.

I also have not had any issues until I tuned the car.

oddly enough no code yet. I drove to work and I'm at work right now. is there anything I can do while I'm at work? Boost leak test may have to wait but I can try to inspect all the ic pipes and intake. is there anything else I can check visually without tools?

Check that the end tanks are not cracked, that the drip tray at the bottom hasn't been ripped off. Those are always the first places to look.

Because it's at the very bottom of the intercooler and as it is the first thing that meets the ground or parking lot curbings, it is frequently ripped off, leaving a small hole at the bottom of the intercooler.

Haha could it be some sort of spring in the bpv or wastegate?

Not to jack the thread, but I'm suspecting my stock bpv may be bleeding off some boost - it sounds almost similar to this "not making boost" situation, but I can still kick up decent pressure, and no codes. I have CAI, so I normally can hear when the bpv operates - wondering if its a common thing to have these things part-way fail like that, especially stock.

Sticking or leaking BPV or bad check valve in the vac tank (causes BPV not to work properly) or a bad boost leak. Need to know what codes are pending or thrown to know for sure.

Okay well I reuploaded the tune and now I'm not having any issues. Logged the car, so far so good.. Will keep this thread updated.

I threw a P0101 MAF Performance
Also a Camshaft positioner error which was after the P0101

Cleared both codes, retuned car, so far no issues.

P0101 is a MAF performance code which almost always indicates a boost leak. If it comes back or is still pending you likely have a leak

I was having the same problems 2 weeks ago. It was the end tank cracked on intercooler.

I checked the entire intercooler and piping and found nothing, and I've been driving it all day since i re-flashed the tune everything is fine, but I'm still checking everything from time to time.

smells like boost leak.

edit - oh, try bypassing the vacuum tank and see what that does.

If it's a boost leak, how come it would come and go? Wouldn't it be a permanent issue not temporary?

I had a boost leak on GMS1 that term helped with diagnose. in the end my entire hot side pipe was blown off the IC but the symptoms were still intermittent at the time I had the following code.

[ECM] P0101 - Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor Performance (Old) (Immature)

Build a tester and get it over with

It is not a massive leak it is just barely big enough to trigger the MIL which is why it comes and goes also it takes 3 consecutive fault cycles (key cycles in which the fault is sensed) to trigger the MIL. There is a remote possibility it is a MAF turbulance issue (seen this mostly with MAF relocate cars) or vac leak right at the MAF (seal could be leaking).
