TWM shift kit installed

just put this on yesterday. shifts are very solid now. i opted for the cable clamp and base bushings as well. install was ok. tough part was getting the stock shift knob off lol. pita! stupid saab shift knobs. anyways, i recommend this shifter to anyone looking to get quicker, more solid shifts. finally, my neck doesnt snap back, and it doesnt feel like the car is gonna fall apart when going through the gears lol.

A+ for quality craftmanship

How about a tip on how to remove the stock knob, also did you get a new boot and if not how did the stock one work out? Post a pic of it installed if you can.

as far as a tip on how to remove the knob i would say get a pair of vise grip pliers, and attach them to the knob. then get a hammer and bang the crap out of the pliers until the knob comes off. thats how i did it. i kept the stock boot on and it works great. i will try to get a pic here shortly.

isnt it easier to remove knob by removing shift pattern on top and undoing hex underneath?

You need to remove that screw, but the shift knob is still glued on so it requires force to remove it no matter what! The rest of the installation is very easy on the bright side!

I have a TWM, it's a great STS kit, but when you said "Shift kit" I thought they added like better gearing or something. I'm a dummy.

oh true. yea that would be nice though. idk about you but my transmission still feels a little clunky and i only have 13xxx miles on it. sucks but whatever. a little off the subject but, how do you like your trifecta tune? im debating between that and hp tuner. and how much for your tune if you dont mind me asking?
