Ugh, boosting problem or no?

Ok, my SS is still new 1734mi to be exact. So I am still new in this field. But here is what I am worried about.

The car in 1st gear never boosted, at all. The RPD unit always showed 0, regardless of the amount of gas you applied, rpm, etc, in first gear it never left 0.

Anyways now it's showing it's boosting up to 11PSI in first gear?

Is this due to the heat and the turbo making the car make its determined 260/260? I thought they were locked at 8psi in first?

Or is this another problem all together?

The motor is beginning to wake up. There is rumor of some kind of new-motor protection in the programming. The LNF wakes up around 3K miles.

i havent had any boosting issue with mine. just got passed 1k miles and ive started to open her up. did a few highway runs last night and was impressed with what shes got. only thing ive done so far is the muffler and vacuum dank delete and saw 16+ psi in 2nd - 5th gears all the way to redline. holds boost way better than my MS3 did out of the factory.

Turbo is getting much louder now too I noticed. And the Bypass valve is noticeable during the 1-2 shift when it was never there because it wasn't boosting before. Loving the car more!
