Regardless of wither or not it's direct, the injectors still have a type, there is no way it's that proprietary it'd be fortune to manufacture...

maybe you should look at the lnf injectors. they arent even close to your standard fuel injector and a standard fuel injector wont work in the location of the di injectors. not to mention the lnfs have a 3000psi capable rail and so forth.

v8this... i think you should do a whole lot more research into what your about to do to the head. the path of airflow really matters with a direct injection head. taking out the bump who knows how much it will matter but i think you should get a head ready and flow bench the thing as well to see if your going to cause any sort of issues.

you will without a doubt need 4 additional injectors, stronger high pressure pump, custom cams possibly with a 4th lobe on the fuel lobe, larger low pressure pump.

im sure you know this but just some food for thought.

ive thought about all these things, i plan to use out of the box thinking to acheve my goal, the multiple lobe fuel pump lobe idea was one of my ideas if i need to, and im putting together a dual pump setup for the "lifter" pump in the fuel tank, and their are companies out their that modify direct injection injectors, and i know it can be done.

Figured out why my meth wasnt working, pump crapped out on me, so i ordered the newer version of AEM's Meth Pump. its way more powerfull and provides better atomization. Here are some pictures of my setup, all nice and hidden. Currently installing the failsafe kit.

the old pump is on the right and the new pump is on the right.

I don't think a flow bench will help much at all. The DI head is so important because of charge tumble and swirl in the chamber, that is all started with the ports in the head.

This will not be street drive able, if that is part of your goal.

Will you be doing any suspension modification? You are also going to need to stuff a whole lot more rubber under there to keep it on the road.

Look what the guys at ZZP have done, iirc they've pulled the most hp out of an LNF so far.

Good luck, the road is going to be difficult, and this is not the first overly ambitious thread I've seen pop up over here.

They're only used in a few engines, and there isn't a huge demand for aftermarket parts. They would be extremely expensive to produce, just look at the aftermarket diesel injectors and most diesels have sold more engines/cars than GM has with the same injector as the LNF

9180 eh? huge!

I would return those stage 2 cams if I were you. I can't really say, but In one months time there will be something better with increased rev limit.

I'll be back on island in like 3 weeks. And I'll be starting on the twin scroll manifold and 4" downpipe. I still need to find an intercooler core to make a custom front mount. I need to take some measurements first.

The crank I was planning on using was fRom eagle but they discontinued it. So now I'm exploring other options. I want to be able to eclipse 1000hp so I'd like to use an aftermarket forged or billet crank. I'm sure this won't be the only motor I build for this car so we will see how it works out. I might do a custom offset ground lnf crank to stroke it a little that's an option I'm exploring too but I'll need custom piston' s to keep the compression down. I wish we had e85 in Hawaii

I DECIDED TO TRY THE .5 MM OVERSIZED VALVES FROM SUPERTECH, I LIKED THE INCONEL EXHAUST VALVE OPTION AND I LIKED THE SHAVED DOWN STEM TO IMPROVE FLOW, I INTEND TO TRY THE 1MM FERREA VALVES AT SOME POINT WITH ANNOTHER HEAD TO SEE WHAT PERFORMS BETTER.

Ive decided to get the gen3 block sleeved. Going to get a quote tomorrow. I want it to be sure the motor survives my intended abuse, plus the darton sleeves can be bored out to 90mm, that means 2.2l lnf undersqare for high revs.
I want it to be together and running now!!! Ahh

You are going to need all the cubes you can to get this puppy to 1000hp. I look forward to more progress.
