wanna go bigger
just like the title says. I wanna go bigger turbo, really like the treadstone
set up, if I go bigger turbo would I necessarily have to rebuild the engine?
or would I be safe on all the stock internals? is there any better turbo set up
like zzp ?

Since you are lazy.

I would have no problem running my Balt 375-450whp on a nice tune all day.

ive ran mine to 442whp 450lbs at 6200rpm on a completely stock motor and fuel system on our mustang dyno. put over 75 dyno passes, 30k hard driven miles and so forth and i leaked my old motor yesterday and it was near perfect. shows to go what a good tune will do and how long your motor will last.
realistically if your shooting for more then 450 i would consider a motor build or atleast some minor head work if you plan to turn rpms past 6200. although i will be planning a budget build here soon. budget by meaning it wont cut corners but im only shooting for 400whp for a stout street and road coarse car but im not releasing specs on it yet. check us out at performance autowerks(you can pm me) id be more then happy to answer questions for you

afr is definitely nice to produce power and is basically just like stock, but with more power. it's decent priced seeing as how its direct bolt on and you just need a tune for it. most people go with it because it is known for the company ZZP. don't get me wrong though, if I had the money, I might have ended up with one...
Personally though, the wr3 is catching my attention more and more. Some serious things coming from it. check out kdubs car.

sanes fun lol.... people got to remember my back history with how the pwerks turbo kit came to happen. another car already started the prototyping and backed out and i jumped in to finish and thats why i ended up with the billet wheel setups originally. as soon as i got news about the efr i jumped on it. i had like one of the first 5 that were released to the public.
when i build a car its all about balance now. i like drivers that i can take to the race track. meaning any race track weather its a straight line or road corse. or a balance between street and road corse. ive found that 400whp is a perfect number in the cobalt and really is. i spent months with dave dialing the car in to get it where it was on pump gas. it had an amazing tune it and parts that really did their job. i dont just say this because iwork their because when my black car was done i wasent an employee. i was able to do whatever i want with the car and still take it anywhere i wanted. took it to tail of the dragon and it did great the whole way while still getting 31mpg on the highway.

so if I wanted to run 400 horse I wouldn't necessarily have to rebuild the head or block? And still
be safe cause I'm not trying to blow anything up lol
